Taboo Topics
So back in February 2007,
I wrote a blog titled PRIDE (if you haven't read it please go back
and read it or if you don't remember it re reading it might help you
understand where i am coming from), I have since made a lot of
changes and feel that I need to talk about some of the Taboo Topics
in my life. There are many that I could choose from but to get this
started I will only write about a few and maybe with any luck I will
continue this blog again with some of the other topics at another
time.
I think the biggest change
thats going on in my life is my divorce and this topic leads to other
taboo topics so I will start here.

Pride
Why is it that we are too
proud to talk about our problems openly with our friends and family
when the issues are not so nice? Issues like abuse, addiction, and
affairs. We as society are taught that these things are bad and we
shouldn’t talk about them. Maybe if we all forgot about our pride
and talked about these issues they would happen less.
Why is it our pride that
stands in the way? Cause we want to be good self-respecting people.
But if we want to be self-respecting then shouldn’t we get rid of
the issues that disrespect us. Our pride is such that is becomes
arrogance and offensive and with that comes the stupidity. If we
would only talk openly about the issues we would realize as a society
that they are a problem.
Being prideful makes us
afraid that if we do talk about these issues that society is going to

Has imagination disappeared?
Has
imagination disappeared?
It
seems that children no longer are told to go out and imagine. So
often TV and video games are used instead of the creativity that was
there when I was a child.
Back
in the not so distant past the possibilities were endless all you had
to do was let your imagination run wild. You could be in a pirate
ship hunting treasure and fighting sea monsters in the morning and
having tea in the afternoon with the queen.

recently started a story to a young friend with the word imagine and

Sundays
What ever happened to Sundays?
Sundays used to be the day of rest,
where people would spend time with there families. And the whole town
would be shut down. How did our lives get so full that we have
forgotten to take that day of rest? When did over scheduling take
over and Sunday just become another working day?
I remember when I was younger that not
much was open on Sunday. You did your shopping on Saturday because
the shops were closed on Sunday. Even now I find it hard to go out
shopping on Sunday because in my mind everyone should be home resting

Experience required.
For those of you who are my forever followers this is a repost of something that I posted a few years back. It has become a part of my life again as I have been on the hunt for a new job.
Experience required.
So recently I have been on the hunt for a job. This has proven more difficult then I have ever expected. As a young adult you are told that the higher your education the more opportunities you will have in the job market. But as a college graduate with my BA I have found that it takes more then a degree to get your foot in the door.
On almost all help wanted ad the words experience required appear. Four years of school and five years of work experience during school and shortly after graduation have not proven enough experience to get a job. So if a job requires experience and this is not enough then where do you get experience? How do you get experience? Doesn’t some employer have to take a chance on you for you to gain the experience? ... (more)

Blogging
So I know I haven't written a blog in a
while and maybe cause when my life gets this way I become uninspired.
(Long story in its self that I am not ready to share.) Even as I sit
to write this now I look around the room for something else to do
with my time. I had hoped that this year I would take on a project of
once every two weeks writing a blog and keeping up with it. I have a
few blogs that I faithfully read and I would love to have the
dedication of writing the way they do. I know that only in time with

Just not my week
So I have to say it just isn't my week. I was working on my web page (http://destiniesstar.fortunecity.com)
today when I inadvertently deleted the index. Any of you who write web
pages know that this will basically delete everything you have on the
page. So yes it is my fault that I wasn't working on a document page
where at least i would have a copy saved somewhere... i was working
right off the web index itself so its gone forever. I guess the good
news is that I get to start over and make it better then ever the bad
news is it had taken me a long time to get it where i liked it before.
So if you visit my page you will find a little note about it being
under construction... and to check back later. I guess I will post when
